Who made my clothes
Who made my clothes
At Moss Le Petit we care deeply about the lives of people involved in the production of our garments and work towards building lasting relationships.
Our hand knits are meticulously and ethically made by a group of inspiring women who are a part of the Sisi Wasi Association in San Juan de Lurigancho, a densely populated district in Lima, Peru. By working from their homes, these talented artisans can provide for their families while earning a fair income. The women meet together twice a week to discuss any issues and check the progress of the knitting.
These meetings give the women a chance to socialize and connect with other women in their community.
Certification – Fair trade.
With Fair trade certification, artisans receive fair wages, work in safe conditions, and can improve their skills and knowledge while fostering community.
Together, let's make a difference!

What we do to create a greener planet -
Small batch production -
At Moss Le Petit, we take sustainability seriously. That's why we produce our garments in limited quantities - it's not just about minimizing waste, but also about doing our part to prevent excess inventory from ending up in landfill. We know it's not always easy to make eco-friendly choices, but we truly believe it's worth it.
Your decision to choose our products means you're supporting a company that cares deeply about the environment and our future.
Natural fibres -
We pour our hearts into creating garments that are not only gentle against your little one's delicate skin, but also kind to our planet. We always prioritize the use of the softest natural yarns to ensure your little one's comfort, while also reducing our carbon footprint.
By choosing natural fibres, we're doing our part to conserve resources and minimize waste, as these materials require less energy and water to produce and biodegrade safely.
Upcycled -
We aim to grow in our use of upcycled and recycled fibres in order to strengthen our commitment to circularity.
This garment in particular, is knitted in an upcycled yarn that is truly unique. The natural, soft, robust yarn is actually made from left over denim. Offcuts get scooped up and re-spun rather than heading to a landfill saving over 20,000 litres of water for every kilogram of up-cycled denim. It's a sustainable approach that helps to reduce waste and protect the environment.
Packaging -
We believe in using minimal packaging that can be reused or composted.
100% of our E-Shop packaging is made from recycled kraft paper.
We use POLLAST!C™ mailers made from 100% ocean-bound plastic pollution which is collected on beaches, shorelines and waterways in the world’s poorest and most-polluted coastal regions. Pollastic pays collectors a fair wage. In turn, this helps lift their communities out of poverty and gets plastic out of our oceans – to ultimately be recycled indefinitely. Carbon offset. Traceable to source.
Thank you for joining us in our efforts towards a more sustainable future!
